Kilometers for Kicks 5K
The Kilometers for Kicks 5K is planned and organized by members of the 2017 Kansas 6A State Champion Olathe North Boys Cross Country Team. Our race planning team consists of juniors Jordan Yonce, Jose Guzman, Ahmad Akkam, Brian Beach, James Houlahan, Jackson Caldwell, Cade Heikes, and Jack Spanel first met with Don and Leslie Nottberg of Elite Feet and Shoe Kansas City in October of 2017 with the intent of using our talents in running to serve our community and give others the resources to do what we love. Now, six months later, this idea has become a reality with the Kilometers for Kicks 5K. The securing of permits, website design, course map planning, and more have all been done by sixteen and seventeen-year-olds, but not without some advice from Don and Leslie Nottberg as well as Jennifer Snyder and Amy Vrban of Jadon’s Hope Bug Run and the City of Olathe. We hope you have as much fun taking part in the event as we have had planning it!

My Sauconys
I used to get major shin splints until a friend told me to go to Elite Feet. They fit me and the next thing I knew I was running pain free! Thank You! My dog Meeka is pictured wearing my Sauconys at Nall Park in Overland Park.
I also ran my first half marathon in these shoes. I didn’t get to train properly fro the race due to a biking injury. The Sauconys got me throgh it though!

Love Our Keens!
We recently went to Colorado for a wedding and of course we packed our Keen sandals! This photo was taken at 14,060 vertical feet at the top of Mt. Bierstadt! We couldn’t believed we hiked up this mountain in sandals… They were very comfortable and gave us plenty of traction!
